taken June 21, 2009 - I love cabins.  Having grown up watching Laura Ingalls and her adventures, I developed a love of my own.  When we came across this abandoned mining town called Independence Pass in Colorado, I was instantly draw to the remnants of this old cabin..... such history.  Who lived here? Where did they come from?  and did they love that view from their window as much as I did?

taken July 20, 2007 ~  Mabel Sue, our sweet brown eyed beagle decided she was going to "mother" a couple of our kittens that were abandoned by their mother that we were bottle feeding.  She cleaned them, protected them and even tried to nurse them.  Most amazing thing I've witnessed with my own eyes.
